He was born September 2, 1930, in Fourmile, Kentucky to McKinley and Dora (Cook) Sulfridge. Albert served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Korean Veteran. He worked as a Surveyor for the United States Government. Albert relocated to Florida in 1997 from Williamsburg, Kentucky. He served as a member of the Marine Corps League-1002, VFW Post 8681, American Legion and D.A.V. He assisted with Marine Corps League #708 honor guard. Albert was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner.
Albert was preceded by his first wife: Kathleen; daughter: Cathy Jean Peak; two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife: Barbara H. Sulfridge of Spring Hill, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Patricia Sulfridge of Kingston, Tennessee; Larry and Leslie Sulfridge of Vincent, Ohio; Richard and Dorcia Rose of Williamsburg, Kentucky; Bennie and Margie Rose of Corbin, Kentucky; son-in-law: Dale Peak of Leesburg, Virginia; sisters: Billie Jean Hardwick of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Linda Sulfridge of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Albert will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations sent to the Shiners Hospital.
