Salvatore Commisso, age 71, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Salvatore was born May 20, 1951 in Calabria, Italy.
Beloved husband of Lenore. Loving father of Vincent & Katie Commisso and Lisa & Darin Piotrovsky. Dear nonno of Liana Piotrovsky. Salvatore is also survived by his mother in law, Grace Moschitto. Salvatore is the proprietor of Vital Image Beauty Salon on Avenue U in Brooklyn for 50 years! As one of his saddened, long-time clients said: "He gave the best haircut ever!" He will be truly missed by all that loved and knew him.
A visitation for Salvatore will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, 185 Van Sicklen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223. Interment to follow in St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
