Frederick Raymond Howe, born January 23, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away surrounded by family. A proud graduate of Xaverian High School and Pratt Institute, Fred dedicated his career to the restaurant industry, taking over his father’s establishment, Howe’s Steakhouse. He also held notable positions at Time Inc. and Macy’s. An avid antique car collector, Fred cherished his 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage, as well as two children, Brian and Michelle, and six cherished grandchildren, who lovingly called him Grandpa Jake. Fred's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A visitation for Frederick will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Andrew Torregrossa & Sons, Inc. Funeral Homes, 1305 79th St, New York, NY 11228. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Ephrem's Roman Catholic Church, 929 Bay Ridge Pkwy, New York, NY 11228.
