Thelma (Firestone) Kropp Taylor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2022 exactly one month shy of her 101st birthday. Born and raised in Manchester, NH one of four siblings. She married Nathan Kropp in 1948 and moved to Franklin, NH. Thelma was first widowed in 1959 leaving her with two young sons, Joseph and Steven. She was resilient raising them on her own, providing a warm and full family life.
Thelma was later also predeceased by her second husband Martin Taylor of Peabody, MA. Her resiliency continued as she raised her two sons and Martin's son Barry.
Thelma worked at Filene's and then Macy's well into her 80's. She drove and lived completely independently until age 94 living a busy life. She enjoyed travel and at 94 took a family trip with her children and grandchildren to Alaska.
She spent the last years of her life at Kaplan Estates in Lynnfield leading a very social and active life until Covid. She had a close relationship with her siblings and many cousins keeping in touch with frequent letters and phone calls.
She is survived by her sons Joseph Kropp (Cynthia) and grandchildren Samantha and Nathan, son Steven and step-son Barry Taylor (Susan) and their son Martin.

Funeral services are private. There will be a Minyan service at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton, MA on Monday, February 14 at 7:30pm followed by shiva until 8:30pm. Masks required.
