Carol Levine Schwartz, age 88, of Newton on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Beloved daughter of the late Dr. Samuel A. and Rosalind (Weinberg) Levine. Loving mother of Dr. Eric Schwartz and his wife Dr. Gayle Tillman, the late Kenneth B. Schwartz, and Laurie Schwartz Naparstek. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin Schwartz, Ava Tillman-Schwartz and Eliana Tillman-Schwartz. Dear mother-in-law of Ellen Cohen and Jay Naparstek. Devoted sister of Joan Scheff, the late Dr. Herbert J. Levine, and his surviving wife Sandra Levine. Adored aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Services at Congregation Kehillath Israel, 384 Harvard Street, Brookline on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:00am. Burial at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury. Immediately following burial, shiva will be at Eric and Gayle’s home until 4:00pm and 7-9pm, and Wednesday 7-9pm with minyan each evening at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care, 205 Portland Street, 6th Floor, Boston MA 02114.
