Betsy Jane Joseph, age 53 years, of Newton passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024

Cherished daughter of Robert S, “Bob” & Susan S. “Sue” (Seder) Joseph. Loving sister to Michael Joseph & Michelle Leibowitz. Cherished aunt to Emmanuel and Elijah. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many cherished friends.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Betsy was a devoted 6th grade teacher at Ephraim Curtis Middle School, Sudbury. Her love of teaching and reading was evident in many parts of her life. She belonged to three book clubs and sought to improve access to books for others. Betsy loved yoga, hiking, solving puzzles, playing board games, dancing and creating interesting and fun ways to teach her students. She was an integral member of a women's group for almost ten years. She was also an aunt who loved doting on her nephews.

A memorial service will take place at Temple Shir Tikva, 141 Boston Post Rd., Wayland on Wednesday, October 9 at 3:00pm with livestream viewing available using the following link: www.levinelive.com/betsyjoseph

Shiva will be observed at the home of Bob & Sue Joseph on Wednesday October 9 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday October 10 from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm.
