Nancy was born to Donald and Ida Koller. Step-mother of the late Dean Rands and Jeffrey (Janice) Rands. Grandma of 3. Dear sister of Gloria Czaplewski, the late Lois (the late Lawrence) Bielinski, the late Dennis Koller, Eileen (the late Keith) Kosanke, Beverly (Steven) Krause, Gerry (Paul) Gliszinski and Karen (Mark) St. George. She will be dearly missed by her beloved niece Danni (Brian) Lustro. Godmother of James Barringer, Heather Depies, Steven J. Krause and Matthew Czaplewski. Further survived by many other nieces, nephews, aunts, Ingy and Lorry, other relatives and friends.
Nancy attended Riverside High School and was proud to graduate a year early. She quickly secured a job with what is now known as J.C. Penny Co working in a warehouse position in the mailroom but quickly rose in ranks to hold several executive positions over her 30 years with the company. While working there she met her husband, Gary R. Rands, and they married on November 22, 1966. Nancy and Gary had many friends while also maintaining a loving, fully involved life with both of their families. They spent many happy years hosting family and friends at their place in Hatfield, WI boating, fishing and attending events there with friends and neighbors.
Nancy loved to travel to visit family in Florida and Louisiana and also took numerouns trips to one of her favorite places; Elvis' Graceland.
Nancy helped with VBS and Forensics at Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church and School for many years and attended all the activities her nieces Amanda and Danni participated in. Nancy became known there and at WISCO High School by students as "Aunt Nancy" since she loved and served as a favorite aunt not only to her own family but everyone she met. She continued in her role as "Aunt" to this day - including at Concordia University and even to workers at Elmbrook Hospital.
Until COVID restrictions changed lives for most people there was no family event that Nancey was not only a part of but was the main contributor of "fun" for everyone attending.
She always supported those in need, and in return her friends and loved ones loved and rallied around her as her health declined. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her since her return home to heaven to be with her God and Savior, her husband Gary, and all the other family and friends who journeyed home before her.
Because Nancy was extremely concerned about people, especially children, going hungry we ask that if you are inclined to remember her you mail a donation in her name to Atonement Lutheran Church and School located at 4224 West Ruby Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53209 where it will be used for their food program.
A graveside service for Nancy will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM.
