Donald Gene Engelbert of Mequon WI passed away on January 11th, 2024. Donald was born on February 25th, 1938 to William L. Engelbert and Lucile (Taylor) Engelbert in Chicago IL. Donald was a 1956 graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee Wis. Don served for 3 years in the 32nd Military Police Company of the Wisconsin Army National Guard, deploying to Fort Lewis, Washington during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Donald made his living as an Electrician and was a member of IBEW 494 in Milwaukee Wis. Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years Patricia (Diedrich) Engelbert, his daughter Suzanne, his son Andrew (Brenda Nichols), and grand-daughter Allison.
Visitation will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park- Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield on Friday, January 19th from 1:30-2:30 pm followed by a Catholic Service and private entombment. In place of flowers please donate to the Ozaukee Humane Society in Donald's name.
