Steven “Steve” Daryl Travis, 62, went to meet his Lord and Savior on June 16th, 2022. Steve was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 30th, 1959. At the time of his passing, Steve lived in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife Donna Ervin Travis, daughter Jennifer Ann Travis, his father Hugh B. Travis, brother Frank L. Travis, wife Nancy. Steve was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Ann Royle Travis.
Steve grew up in Madison, Tennessee, and graduated from Madison High School in 1977. After graduation he attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Steve was a strong Christian who loved his Lord and loved serving others. He attended St. Edward Catholic Church for over 33 years. During his retirement he became very active in his neighborhood and getting to know everyone.
Steve started his career in advertising at Smith and Sellers in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. He moved to the Bill Hudson Agency in the early 1990s. Steve was later co-owner of the Bill Hudson Agency prior to his retirement in 2017.
His passion was anything outdoors. He loved his frequent hikes around Radnor Lake, as well as traveling, reading, taking photos, watching anything related to history (with his dog Oscar sitting beside him) and keeping up with his Tennessee Vols!
Steve was active in Gilda’s Club, and during his years at Bill Hudson was active with the Ronald McDonald House and its charities.
For everyone who knew Steve he was a great friend who always had a big smile, a helping hand and a hat on his head. Steve kept the “3 Fs” in his life – Faith…Family…Friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from four until seven o'clock in the evening on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at ten thirty in the morning on Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 188 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37211, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to mass. Inurnment will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
