Dean Henry Crombie, age 76 of Brentwood, Tennessee, departed this life on November 19,2020. He was born on June 14, 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late William Henry and Ella Oriel Saffel Crombie. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandsons Audley, and Finley.
He was a graduate of Canton High School, Canton, Connecticut; and the University of Connecticut School of Engineering, Storrs, Connecticut. He worked as a Program Manager for Hamilton Standard, Windsor Locks, Connecticut where he was awarded two US Patents. He was Vice President of Engineering at Teledyne Hydra-Power, New Rochelle, New York, and in Tennessee he worked as Plant Manager at Chromalox ,La Vergne, Tennessee. He completed his career as a franchise owner of Lawn Doctor of Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Reading was his passion. He enjoyed sports, both as a spectator and participant. Coached students in soccer, baseball, and basketball. Loved his golf; and could throw a mean bowling ball. A friend to all, with a quick engineering mind that could solve any problem. He lived his life ready to meet his maker, always remembering the two great commandments, Love God with your whole heart, Treat your neighbor as you would yourself. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, JoAnn R. Crombie, children: Mark Crombie, Mary Katherine Crombie (husband Dante Lauretta), Scott Crombie (wife Anna), Timothy Crombie (wife Jody). Grandchildren: Taylor, Matthew, Xander, Griffin, Emsley(Emmy), Malakai, Jacob. Special loves: Christine Lausier, Neely Hill Crombie, cousins, and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice
