On June 4, 1943 Tyrone Joseph Marbley was born to Enna & Willie Marbley. Tyrone, affectionately known as Ronnie was the youngest of 8 children. He was educated in the DC public school system. He met the love of his life Lettie Buie in Junior High School they later married and were together until her home going. Together they raised Joey, Debbie and became bonus parents to nieces, nephews and friends. They loved spoiling their grandchildren Tonomi, Tyrone, Kelsey, great grand-children Donte and Lettice.
Ronnie loved to sit and listen to all types of music but when you got in the car he would be listening to soft rock. He was passionate about his yard and gardening.
Ronnie held several positions and he retired from the Smithsonian as the Painting Supervisor. He enjoyed this job because it gave him an opportunity to explore the many exhibits and rich history. In his retirement he loved talking with his son-in-love Rob. During our shared time of care Rob made Dad special breakfast sandwiches. During Joey's time he tried to fix the same sandwiches but was unable to duplicate them.
Ronnie will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife (Lettie), mother/father (Willie/Enna) grand-daughter (Tonomi). He leaves to mourn his son Jerome (Joey), daughter (Deborah/Rob), sister (Patricia Hallman), grand-son (Tyrone), grand-daughter (Kelsey), great-grand(Donte), (Lettice), longtime friend Mr. Black and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Today
Today is a good day, you ask why? It’s a good
day because I’m with my Lord and Savior. The
love of my life (Lettie). I have joined my
mother, father, sisters and brothers. My
beloved granddaughter (Tono) is here too. We
are dancing, singing and reminiscing about
good times. The sun is shining and there's
plenty of life. A new day is dawning sunny and
bright..(thanks Luther)
Love you Dad you will be missed
Debbie
