Mary Louise Elizabeth Green, fondly known as Aunt Louise or Louise, was born on July 24, 1927, to Henry Harvey and Lilie Pearl Green in their upstairs front bedroom at 16 Carpenter Street, Woodbury, N.J.
She was the fifth of fourteen children and would often serve as a babysitter and role model for her siblings. After graduating from Woodbury High School in June 1944, she moved to Philadelphia and, later, Washington, D.C. She worked for the federal government throughout her career. She also joined First Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1957 where she remained a member throughout her lifetime. With her second husband, she purchased a home in Silver Spring, Maryland and remained living in that home until December 2022.
On March 3, 2024, Louise passed away peacefully in her sleep. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sisters, two brothers, and a host of family and friends.
