It is with great sadness that the family of Jason Earl Gilchrist announce his passing on June 26, 2020. Jason was born on July 20, 1977 in Silver Spring, Maryland to Vicki and Lafayette Gilchrist. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and held various positions throughout his career in the fields of accounting, property management, and security investigations.
Jason was gifted with the biggest heart. He loved his family and centered his world around making sure that life was a little easier for others. He loved to laugh and could turn the most frustrating of situations into something funny, and then put life into perspective of what really mattered the most. Spending time with family and showing how much he loved them was a huge priority for Jason. He was a gentle, compassionate, patient and generous spirit. Being an organ donor, Jason performed his last selfless act. He always saw the bigger picture in life and never took a day for granted. He brought much joy to those whose lives he touched and was deeply loved. Jason will be painfully missed by family and many friends.
Jason is survived by a daughter, Mikayla Stewart; parents, Lafayette and Vicki Gilchrist; brothers, Aaron, Warren and Lafayette Gilchrist; sister and brother-in-law Tracee and Thomas Foster; nieces, Carlee and Camryn Foster; significant other, Patrice Brown (and Charlie); and a host of loving relatives and friends.
A private memorial will be held July 14, 2020, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home in Brentwood, Maryland.
