Clarence Donald Simpson Jr.

Clarence Donald Simpson Jr. was born November 16, 1940, in Clinton SC to the late Ella B. Chappelle and Clarence Simpson Sr… At an early age he and his family moved to Washington DC, where he attended DC public schools. We all knew at an early age Clarence would be a hard worker. He delivered newspaper’s and all sorts of odd jobs around the area to make money.

In 1963-1965 he joined the Army. After that he was in Army Reserve from 1965-1969. Clarence had over 40 years of Federal time in the government. He worked for the Department of Defense.

On June 10, 1972 he married Barbara Ann Marshall they were married for 50 years. They love to travel, going to movies, out to eat, and just having fun together. He knew he could always count on his beloved wife Puddin.

Clarence was a beautiful person, his heart and soul was detailing cars. The car and tires were shining and the engine was clean as a whistle. He really looked forward to Saturday mornings when he would tune on his favorite radio station WPFW 89.3 oldies but goodies.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memories his wife Barbara A. Simpson, one sister Shirley A. Barksdale, Clarence was preceded in death by: his sister Patricia A. Sullivan. One Brother-in-law John R. Marshall; Two sisters-in-law Hilder Diana Marshall and Earle Marshall. A loving and dear niece/daughter Sheila Marie, Five nieces and Two nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives & friends.
