Carl Smith

Born May 24, 1937 in Caraway, Arkansas to Robert and Naoma Smith and preceded in death by his wife of nearly 32 years Lora Evelyn Smith, long time girlfriend of 20 years Carol De Falco, mother Naoma Watkins and step-father Alvis Watkins. Survived by his children Deanna Harrison, Boyd Smith and Denise and Doug Koch; siblings Charlotte and Rod Scardino, Denny and Jane Watkins, Dale and Mimi Watkins and Keith Watkins; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Carl enjoyed singing and playing guitar, fishing, traveling and tinkering. A family gathering was never complete without him entertaining us, often with his brothers-in-law, singing everyone’s favorite songs. Carl could fix just about anything and enjoyed figuring out how things worked, he even crafted his own boat! He made his living as a truck driver and still found joy in traveling later in life after he retired in 1999. He would always greet you with a grin and was always happy to see you. His family will forever cherish all the good times and happy memories he has left us with and we will miss him terribly.

Funeral service to be held at Brentwood Funeral Home on August 18, 2022. Final resting place Union Cemetery in Brentwood, California.
