John was born in Bremerton, WA. He was a pilot and a Retired Deputy Sheriff's Officer. John loved to spend his time on the water by swimming, fishing, and boating; in the air flying planes, and on the earth admiring classic cars and sunbathing, visiting Australia.
John loved to have fun and making others laugh. He was a gentle man who never had a bad word to say and never allowed anything to get to him to change his demeanor.
John was survived by his lovely spouse Jennie Strachan, daughter Nina Burgett, son Bryant Strachan, Brother James (Marlene) Strachan, sister Margaret Dues-Williams (Jay), and Best Friend Richard Adkins.
John was preceded in death by his daughter Shannon Castillo (Wilo).
John's Family ask that donations be made in his honor to Belfair Senior Center (HUB) in Belfair, WA; Providence Hospice in Shelton, WA; and Comfort Keepers on Chico Way NW Bremerton, WA.
