Peacefully, at Stedman Hospice-Hankinson House, on May 12, 2017. Reunited with his soulmate the late Veronica Nichols. Survived and sadly missed by brothers Eldon, Paul, Ivan, David and Stephen, sisters, Carolyn, Gaynell, Annabelle, Marilyn, and Marjorie, step-daughter Janine, son Stewart and granddaughters, Emma, Courtney and Felisha. Predeceased by parents Stella and Lorne York and sister Joyce. A special thank you to all of his wonderful friends for the care and support through Weldon’s sickness. Visitation will take place at the "THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL", 96 West Street, on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2pm. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
