It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Martin Jacobi announces his passing after a courageous battle with diabetes. He passed away on August 9th, 2014 in his 47th year. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his parents Walter and Patricia, siblings Cheryl Goulet, Steve (Pam), Mark (Becky), and his nephews, Matthew, Alex, Nick, Michael, Zachary, Isaac and Kyle; his best friend Rob, and his loyal dog Jake. Special thank you to the Brantford General Hospital Dialysis Unit and St. Joseph’s Hamilton Nephrology Unit and Palliative Care. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Wednesday, August 13th from 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday August 14th at 11am. Cremation has taken place. Michael was a transplant recipient and the family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association and/or go online to beadonor.ca and become an organ donor.
