She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Ed (Dorothy), Kay (Jim), Bob (Josephine), Ronnie (Bill), Patricia (Art), Rita (Lou), Joan, and Mel. She is survived by her brother-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Helen, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dorothy, best known as Aunty Dot, was a kind person and always there for her family, friends, and anyone who needed her. “Don’t Forget to Smile” was the motto she lived by.
Special thanks go out to the staff at Brantford General Hospital, particularly on the Palliative Care Unit.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel, 96 West St, Brantford, on Friday July 29 from 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Pius X Parish, 9 Waverly St, Brantford on Saturday July 30 at 11am. The service will also be live streamed for those unable to attend.
