Valencia Morgan-McLish

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Valencia Morgan-McLish on 9/24/2024 in Tampa, FL. Valencia was born on 8/25/1941 in Jamaica to Ann and Adolphus. Valencia gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Yvonne and Laverne and later moved to the United States in the 1970s.

During her time in the US, Valencia worked as a Caregiver, Sales Associate and Nurse’s Aide. She even opened a Jamaican restaurant, Jamaican Cuisine Bar and Grille in Hawaii.

With a vibrant zest for life, there was no task or obstacle that ever stood in her way. A collector of fine antiques, beautiful fashion and all things glamourous, Valencia is and will always be the talk of the town.

Valencia leaves behind to carry on her legacy her Daughter Laverne, Granddaughter Erica, Grandson Dominique, Great Grandchildren DaRon, Jordyn, Eric, Arianah, Kayden, Aden and Zariah, Sisters-Adassa, Ionie, Sonja, Hyacinth, Gene and Brothers-David and Lambert, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and a host of loving Friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ann, father Adolph’s, daughter Yvonne, grandson Christopher and other Friends and Family.

A graveside service for Valencia will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, Brandon, Florida. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida.
