His family moved to Cape Coral, Florida where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Helene Kotsalis on April 23, 1972. Bob worked most of his career at Publix holding various positions. He worked in management for a construction company and with a painting company.
He served proudly in the U. S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran. Bob enjoyed traveling, especially on casino trips and cruises. His favorite pastime was gathering with friends and family for board and card games and good food.
Bob cared about the communities he lived in working with Habitat for Humanity and United Way. His greatest pride came as a founding member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Myers, FL. He served on the organizing committee, groundbreaking and parish council along with introducing Lee County to its first Greek Festival.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Sylvia Boucher and his brother, Roger Boucher. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helene;, their two sons, MJ and Stephen (Brittany); sister, Jean Triplett; two grandsons, Andrew and William; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers, FL 33919. A visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment to follow in Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, Florida.
In lieu of flowers the family will gratefully accept donations to one of these deserving organizations: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Myers, Florida, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida and LifePath Hospice, Tampa, Florida.
