Margaret Gay (Goodwin) Sandy of Valrico, Florida; Born April 3, 1933 in West Virginia, died on May 7, 2019. She married George E. Sandy on January 11, 1950. They were married until his death on May 1, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sandy, her parents, Walter Earl and Wonneta Gay Goodwin; her oldest daughter, Pamela Bettis; and sister Shirley Goodwin Cottrell.
She is survived by six daughters Vicki Woodruff; Peggy (Leonard) Miller; Sherri Trinidad; Sonja (David) Butler, Joyce (Tom) Gill; and Gloria (Mike) Gillespie; 7 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; brothers Earl (Helen) Goodwin Jr and Cecil (Shirley) Goodwin; and sisters Vesta Strother, and Judy Farrell.
In her younger years, Margaret was very involved in her church, especially in the choir, and she loved being a part of various bowling teams. Margaret had a long career as a retail cashier with Winn Dixie. She was an avid crafter, often sewing and making bracelets, earrings, and t-shirts. She loved to read, listen to gospel and country music, and enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon.
She was a loving wife, mother.
