Michael was born in Newton, NJ on September 5, 1988 and was a High Point High School graduate in the class of ’07. His high school years were marked by his dedication to baseball, and he played on the team for all four years. After high school, Michael earned a certification in turf management from Rutgers University and went on to work on the maintenance crew at the Newton Country Club for ten years.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael was an avid golfer and had a deep appreciation for music. He was a lifelong Yankees fan, and his love for baseball extended beyond the field through his vast collection of baseball cards. In addition to his passion for baseball, Michael had a keen eye for rare coins and antique jewelry.
Michael’s golden heart and quiet soul will be missed by many. He is survived by his mother, Joanne Fletcher; his brothers Victor C. Fletcher and his wife Shannon, and Matthew Fletcher; his uncle John D. Fletcher; his aunt Nancy C. Love and her husband John; his niece Sienna Fletcher; and his cousin Natalie Martinello and her husband Domenic.
Michael is predeceased by his father, Peter Fletcher; and his brother, John J. Fletcher.
A memorial visitation for Michael will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St, Branchville, NJ 07826. A memorial service will take place at 4pm following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael’s name may be offered to the family to help during this difficult time.
