Fierce Momma. Caring Wife. Strong Sister. Devoted Teacher. Hilarious Jokester. Dog Mom.
No matter how you knew our mom you knew one thing for sure; she loved with all of her being. Every ounce.
She gave 100% to every role she stepped into and did it all with grace and ease.
She was simply the best.
Our mom loved her job so much. She touched countless lives through teaching special education at Frankford Township School for 32 years. She was a teacher through and through, helping and aiding anyone in her life who needed it.
She was the best mom us two kids could have ever asked for. She made everything better, from a bad fall off our bikes to a broken heart. She knew how to be there for you, to let you know it was all going to be okay. She was magical in that way.
Our mom really listened and made everyone feel so special.
She protected those she loved with her bold heart. Always taking care of everyone else first. She was truly selfless. She loved her family so much, including her siblings Madeline, Kathy, Mike, Tom and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our mom was an amazing cook from her famous meatballs to grandma's chicken soup. She always made sure we had more than enough to eat. Just never try to get her to eat your meatloaf, even if you proclaimed “...but Elaine, you haven’t tried MY meatloaf”.
Our mom and dad’s love story is one written in fairy tales, meeting on Culver Lake in the late 60s. Bob was a year round resident and Elaine a summer, city girl. From the moment they met Bob knew that was it. Her waist-long brown hair, big sunglasses, chocolate brown eyes. They fell in love at the lake where they lived their lives together.
Our parents weren’t sure what retirement would hold for them until they fell in love with camping in their RV. Heading to Florida for the winters, making new friends and soaking up the warm winter sun. Our mom was truly the happiest we had ever seen her. She was living each day to the fullest.
We know she will miss all of the little things in life that brought her so much joy; from her daily walks with Reggie and her many friends to quilting to book club to doing puzzles to taking boat rides, and playing dominoes.
Our mom lived and loved wholeheartedly. She was a bottomless pit of love. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and loving support system. Everyone could stand to be more like our mom.
Our mom will be missed with a vastness that is hard to explain with words. We hope her quick passing reminds everyone to squeeze their loved ones tight and share how much you love them every single day.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic we will not be hosting a memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers please make donations in our mom’s name to:
