We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bob.  Our sincere condolences to Jo-Anne and family.  We have fond memories of Bob from years ago.  Hoping your memories help you through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of this passing of a beloved friend from my youth. Frenchie, Frank and I spent many, many memorable times together some to be re-told and others not so much. Sadly we grew apart as we got older and married moved away and let life takes its inevitable course. Rest in piece, we are only sorry we never got to sit and reminisce about the Bad old days. Our prayers and thought are with Jo-Anne and his family at this sad point in their lives.

Bob was a great friend and highly respected colleague.   He was always sharp witted and quick thinking.   He seemingly had a ready solution for every problem.   

Bob will be sorely missed, but we will cherish so many fond memories through the decades of CAMCO travels and sales meetings.

I am so sorry you lost Bob, he was very special to many as he was to me. Bob was the kickstart to my career, he talked me into joining Peel Bearings way back. Always fun to be around, he was also a great motivator. Tagged me with the name “cold calling kid from Kalamazoo county “, and I tried to deserve the title. 
You and all of your family made us welcome on many trips by your cottage, many memories, our kids at the time had great fun together.

It was so sad to hear about Bob's passing. We have so many great memories of Bob from the cottage. He was always there with a joke or to lend a hand regardless of the project. 

In the early years he was a huge part of entertaining the kids with his guitar around the camp fire or in helping us coordinate huge fireworks displays for the kids up north. 

There is a saying - Don't be sad its over, be glad it happened - I'm so glad we knew Bob and he was a part of our lives.

Jo-Anne, I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing.  My condolences to you and your family.  I know too well the pain you are going through.  I know Paul knew Bob from their early days playing hockey.  Bob was always fun to be around and kept me laughing, smiling and just feeling good, an admirable trait.  I hope in time you will smile or laugh more often when you think of Bob and his quick wit.  Another one of the good guys gone too early.  Bob, may you rest in peace.

As your cottage neighbour for so many years I have reflected on so many good times, parties, dinners, generosity. Bob always upbeat and truly could never top his one liners. Leave you laughing.

I first met Bob on the football field. He was the referee in our touch football league and thru out the years Bob and I would chat sometimes about ,I thinking he needed to wear glasses.  We laughed a lot. A couple years later I realized that Bob was working with BDI Canada a customer of mine and thought oh my goodness I should of kept my mouth shut. Only a few weeks ago I saw him at another funeral/wake that BDI Canada held.  Bob and I chatted and with that big smile of his he told me that I should of been  the one wearing glasses way back in our playing/ref. days.

It was a long time ago that we played hockey together for Transfiguration Church CYO. Probably mid 1960's. Ironically, I still have on my office desk, a picture of our championship win, and there's Bobby, second from the right, on the front row. There's Denis Carney there with his dad, Bob, the coach of the team, Bobby's father the assistant coach, (we all  called him Mr. Plourde) in the back, Gary O'Rourke,  my brother Victor. I remember most of the names. Great times. So sad to hear. If you wanted to laugh, just spend some time listening to Bobby tell jokes. I'm sure the angels in heaven are laughing today. Rest in Peace Little Brother.

Although we drifted apart after I moved to the US , I remember Bob fondly.

In our younger years we were play mates, school mates and band mates. He was a confidant, a cheerleader, a supporter.

Aka, friend. And he made my world a happier place.

Dear Joanne, Chantal and the entire Plourde family.. I’m so sorry for this incredible loss. Bob was such a nice, happy-go-lucky man that I never saw in a bad mood once - and I spent a lot of time at your house and cottage in those elementary school days! I have such fond memories of heading up to the cottage with Chantal, Joanne and Bob - which was quite frequent back in the day! One story that always seemed to come up on our drive to the cottage was something about a “muffle-shit green” car and Bob laughing every time we saw “muffle shit green” anything. I hope that in reading this note you can find laughter at such a sad time and know your father and family had a positive impact on me and so many others. My sincerest condolences to you all. Dear JoAnne, Tyson, Andrea, Chantal and families. In my eyes, Bob was always one of a kind. When I showed up on the scene, many years ago, I was so nervous and worried about the reception I would get. Bob and JoAnne took away my fears instantly. I can well see why Jo was head over heals with her man. Bob had it all. He was funny, he was loving, he was a hard worker and cared very deeply for his wife, his mom, his kids and grand kids, and all of the friends he had grown to love over many decades. Bob’s good looks and his great deliveries of one-liners, will always be a cherished memory  of mine. God speed.

I met Bob 'Papa' Plourde around the time that I took over as President of Orangeville & Headwaters Minor Baseball Association. Bob's Grandson and my son played on the same Bengals team for mutiple years as a part of the Rep program. 

A generous sponsor for multiple teams, and an avid supporter not just of his grandkids and their teams, but also of the vision of the Bengals program - Bob could always be seen at the diamond in the summer. I always looked forward to my conversations with him about the team and the league. His support for the kids as the team Grandpa was one of the things that made the team truly special! He will surely be missed by the many people that he had such a positive impact on. 

My sincerest condolences to Randy, Andrea, and the entire family. Rest easy, Papa Plourde. You're a HOF'er in my books!

I am saddened to have heard of Bob’s passing. My father, Wally, always spoke so highly of Bob and was so happy to have re-connected with him at the rink over the last year. His love for hockey and family was clear to see.

Bob will be remembered as a loving and respected family member through the Plourde and Mundy family. Moreover, he will be equally remembered through his extended family of, the Balmer’s, where he will be especially remembered by JoAnne’s cousin Steve. Bob was a special family member to me, Steve, as I remember him back to my teen years. Later, Bob would become a highly respected friend. One who was a positive influence to me as we grew together. He showed me the way too many times to remember, lead by his love and support of his family. One such memory were the times he would give to his mother as he would travel with her back and forth between her homes in Brampton and The Gaspe Bay, and how he would love to share the trips with others. Bob will be remembered by me as a very giving person. I will love and remember him for years top come. God bless you my friend……
