Mike was a Boy Scout growing up and continued to be a scout leader for many years, enjoying endless camping trips and jamborees.Michael graduated from Fanshawe college and began to work as an electrician in many capacities and owned his own business for many years. His most recent work was at Hart House (University of Toronto) beginning in 2021 as a Maintenance and Capital Projects Supervisor. Prior to that he was an Electro Mechanical Automation Technician at the CN Tower since 2005. He took such pride in his work and always worked hard.
Michael loved to travel and with wife Karen they went on many trips seeing many different places. From cruising, to all inclusive, to resorts and road trips, they lived life to the fullest with many laughs and adventures along the way.
Michael loved cooking, the theatre, music, puttering in his backyard, and his crossword/sudoku puzzles. He had a brain for numbers and directions and he received many calls from his wife or sister as to how to get somewhere or to get back home. Michael always went everywhere with his tool pouch, willing to help where needed, expecting nothing in return.
He especially loved spending time with his family. Michael was so proud of his nieces and nephews and how they had grown, and the adults they have became or were turning into.
Michael was also proud to say he had a great nephew. They each added so much richness in their own way to his life and they all meant so much to him. Michael will be remembered by his family, friends, work colleagues as well there will be an empty bar stool at his local pub.
Michael will be deeply missed and was loved by all.
