Margaret Dott McQueen

Survived by her daughter Linda (Tim Sullivan) and her son Ian (Jane Alsop). Her grandchildren, Dianne, Maureen, David, Heather, Adam, Aislinn, Amanda, Aline and Eric will be forever thankful for her love and pride in their accomplishments. She was delighted to be a great-grandmother to Devlin, Bryce, Isla, Alise, Nora, Luke, Elora, River, Jackson, Mason, Lillian and Hunter.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 2013 and her daughter Eleanor in 2023.

Mum was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland by her parents Elizabeth and John Wardle. She was a proud Scot and although she built a wonderful life here in Canada, her heart was always back home.

She was a loyal employee of T.J. Lipton (Bramalea plant) for over 30 years, a Scottish Country Dancer, a wonderful cook, a raconteur, a lover of crossword puzzles, books and dogs. But she loved her family more than anything else. Mum and Dad loved to have their home full of their family, friends and anyone else that happened to tag along. They were welcoming, generous hosts to many over the years.

We are saddened by her passing, but we take comfort in so many happy memories. Her legacy will live on whenever we gather to enjoy a simple picnic, an elaborate Christmas dinner, hunt for Easter Eggs, enjoy a well brewed cup of tea, share the joy of reading an inspiring book, marvel at the perfection of a single pink rose or catch our breath as we watch a beautiful sunset.
