Passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on Monday, November 19, 2012 in his 78th year. Loving husband of the late Marie Scott(nee Rusk). Dear father of Linda and her husband Bill. Proud grandfather of Lauren, Kellen and Nicole. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret. John will also be sadly missed by his niece Jennifer Nielsen and nephew Larry Nielsen, also predeceased by his niece Karen Nielsen. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Alan (all of Australia), and many other friends. A special thank you to all the nursing staff at Brampton Civic Hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 22 from 5-9 pm at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton (North of Steeles Avenue) 905-456-8190. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 23 at 11am. Interment will take place later in the afternoon at Blair Belfountain Cemetery.
