Joanna Elizabeth Peleck

The loving wife of 29 years to Jack Peleck (d. 2002) and partner of 10 years to Gerald (Jerry) Kaspard (d. 2017), Joanna was cherished by her children, John and his wife Judy and by Joe and his partner Christina. She was an adored Bachi to grandchildren Joei, Jack, Jolie, Julianna, Jadon and Taylor; a devoted sister to Marie (David Dore); a supportive Chocha to godson David Kieley, wife Stephanie and children Lyric, Jona, Emelia. She will be missed by Brother, Don and wife Jocelyne, children Michelle and Christopher. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Chernets, whom she honoured by her life.

She loved her sons and grandchildren fiercely. Her home was always filled with family photos and fresh flowers. A people person, skilled in conversation, she was warm and open with old friends as well as new acquaintances. She made friends wherever she went and always left her mark.

Joanne was a devoted teacher for the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board for 30 years. Here, she was known for her outstanding capabilities, big heart and her love of teaching. For years during her tenure, she devoted herself to the needs of her Special Education students.

She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew her, especially her extended family and friends in Windsor, her former teaching colleagues and her many Chartwell Montgomery Village friends, especially Graham, Marie, and Muriel.
