Graham Reid Shepherd

Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Sheila) (nee McKee) .

Loving father to Peter (Kim), Heather (Dafydd Baldwin) and Sandra (Peter Milavec).

Beloved grandpa/papa to Rhys, Christian, Amanda and Kaitlin.

He was born on May 5, 1935 in Falkirk, Scotland to Peter and Winnifred Shepherd. He was an only child.

Graham emigrated to Toronto in 1956 and started working at the CIBC bank. He worked his entire career in banking retiring in 1996 as Vice-President of Mortgage Services at Laurentian Bank of Canada. He married Sarah (Sheila) in 1959.

His three children were his pride and joy until the very end. He was very proud of all his grandchildren and loved telling people about them. In 2020, his two grandsons purchased a small parcel of land in Scotland in his name thus officially making him Lord Graham Reid Shepherd.

Graham was an avid and accomplished golfer all his life. He spent a number of years involved in minor soccer in North York as a coach, referee and serving on some executive committees for many years. He loved his garden. Prior to Covid, he was an active volunteer at the St. Andrew’s Foodbank in Brampton.

Graham enjoyed being with people, talking and sharing a beer every now and then. If he was your friend, you knew he cared about you and you always knew where you stood with him. He had many friends and will be missed.

He dearly missed Sheila and is certainly happier now that they are together once again.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the SickKids Foundation in his honour.

The family will hold a private ceremony now, with an open memorial service in early August.
