Gary George Edwards

Gary was born on May 14th, 1940 in Weston ON, where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend Weston Collegiate and Vocational School and later became a Vice President at CIBC. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

Dedicated Husband to Shirley Edwards for 62 years. Gary was a devoted Father. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, playing cards, and talking about cars. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges others faced.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed collecting license plates and maintaining his home. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Gary had a passion for helping and listening to his family and friends. He was an active member of his community, volunteering for various causes and organizations in Brampton including CERV.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, his children, Troy (Cathy) & Greg (Alexandra) and his grandchildren, Samantha (Scott), Caelyn (Chris), Shannon, Evangeline, Jacob, Faith and Rowan also his great grandchildren, Abigail and Emberly. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at The Alderlea in Brampton from 4-9 pm on August 27th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
