Robert G. Kiley “Bob”, 88, of Bradenton, Florida passed away on November 17th, 2021. He was born on November 26th, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey to George T. Kiley and Sophie Brodtman. Bob was a resident of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia for 21 years, North Port, Florida for 7 years, and Bradenton, Florida for 4 years. He graduated from Teaneck High School and Fairly Dickinson University. He was an Army Airborne Ranger from 1949 to 1952, and a Combat Veteran in the Korean War.
Bob Kiley was a member of Bradenton Baptist Church, and RICA (Ranger Infantry Companies Airborne, an organization of Rangers who served in the Korean War). He loved fishing and playing golf, and as a man he had a wonderful disposition, was kind and generous, cheerful, and especially loving.
Preceded in death by his mother, Sophie Brodtman, his father, George T. Kiley, and his brother, Ronald T. Kiley. He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Kiley “Betty”, his sister, Gladys Elting, his brother-in-law, Norman W. Biller Jr. (Loretta), and his nieces and nephews, Norman Biller (Shannon), Janine Shinn (Stan), Mark Biller (Cindy), and his special friend, Christine Herrick (Wayne).
