She and Chuck were our Sunday school teacher for several years at FCNB. Now known as Gulf Coast Church.   She was a special lady.

Marilyn and family lived next door to us.  I remember when the younger 2 came home from playing in the woods behind us.   Mom and I watch them labor across our yard covered in mud.   Trees were removed from the wooded area behind us leaving  big holes.  It had rained for several days filling these holes.  As the walked home  mom (Florence Higgins) and I  saw only the white of Marla and Darrel's eyes.    I was convinced that this surely make her swear.   They first tried to go inside via the back door.  Stopped dead in their tracks and I mean their tracks could not be missed.  Marilyn met them in front with a hose in hand.  I lost track of how many times I heard "Good Honk" that day,   To this day when I will say "Good Honk"  when something goes wrong.    Thank you Marilyn.   It keeps me from swearing.

When I lived in Bradenton, I enjoyed my times with
Marilyn and Chuck at church and at get-togethers.
They were such a great couple.

Marilyn and I became friends with Chuck and Marilyn Roberts, almost 28 years ago at FCNB Bradenton. What a delight to call them friends. Love and sympathy to this great family.  David and Marilyn Shelton, Hermitage Tn

My memory with Marilyn (Grams) was she was talking about everything to believe in God and staying of keeping the faith and she really loved all of the people from the Monday Night group and plus did some fun games as well but definitely she will be missed but never forgotten 

Marilyn and our family became friends through meeting each other at the Nazarene church. We always made a point to say hello and get a hug from her. She always had a calmness and comfort to her that was undeniable.  She was like the grandma that just made you feel loved and she did love you. You knew it! I am so thankful that we had a chance to see her again before she went home to Jesus and her family. Thank you Marilyn for all the hugs and love! You will be missed. But, it won't be long before we see each other again. 

So many memories - vacationing at Kentucky Lake, visiting her and your Dad in Florida, Crazy Scrabble (LOTS of that!!), Layman's Retreats, the instigator of our Annual White Christmas Party and more.  So glad she went peacefully - what a Nazarene nap that turned out to be!!  Prayers for all the family. 

So many memories of my Aunt Marilyn.  From visiting in Danville as a kid,  taking refuge at the house after an Indianapolis car crash as a young adult all the way to scolding she and my mother for quarreling when they were both in their 80's.   She always spoke her mind which I think is the 'Schulz' way.   There was always love even when there was hurt and disappointment.   I loved her and will miss her.  Stephen
