Laurel Lynn Mitchell

Laurel Lynn Mitchell, age 56, of 18012 Waterville Place Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202- formerly of Dunedin, FL, St Augustine, FL, Pinckney, MI, Ann Arbor, MI, Chicago, IL and all over the country in the Fleetwood Motorhome - lost her 2+ year courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

She was born in Ann Arbor, MI to Robert and Nancy (nee Johns) Koeble. Laurel received her Surgical Technology Degree and Nursing LPN Degree from Washtenaw County Community College.

Laurel worked as a Surgical Tech at St. Joe's Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. She owned a Pet Store with her Mom in St Augustine, FL. She owned and operated Pretty Paws, a mobile dog grooming business, for 8 years, in Holiday, FL. She enjoyed anything outdoors in nature and spending time with family. You could find her mountain biking on trails or riding long distance on roads. Biked LA to Boston and all over Spain with her husband. She was an accomplished Equestrian and lover of all animals. Her love of travel was epic resulting in a 3 year USA trip in “Storm”. She also loved to kayak, fish, work out, and show dogs. Ultimately raising Whitney, her Chinese Crested to Champion Level.

Laurel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister that will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Thomas; daughters, Jessica Lahr of Plant City, FL and Brittney Imburgia (Lawrence) of Wesley Chapel, FL; step-daughter, Kaitlyn Mitchell of New York City; father, Robert Koeble of Whitmore Lake, MI; sister, Michelle Lewan of Ann Arbor, MI; grandson, Maximus Imburgia of Wesley Chapel, FL; Bruce Lahr of Holiday, FL, father of Jessica and Brittney; aunt, Marilee Slicker of Ypsilanti, MI; and nieces, Micayla Schlaff of Canton, MI and Danielle Schlaff of Kalamazoo, MI. Laurel is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Koeble and step-mother, Annette Koeble.

A visitation for Laurel will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211. A mass of Christian burial will occur on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 12905 State Rd 70 East, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202, with burial following at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203.
