He was born on November 30, 1953 in Raleigh, NC while attending a family funeral. He lived in Manatee County his entire life until retiring to Lake Placid, FL in March 2022. Kenny attended Palmetto Elementary and Palmetto Jr. High, graduating from Southeast High, class of 1971.
After the death of his father, his mother married Cecil Reagan, moving to Upper Manatee River Road where he became a part of Milky Way Farms and found his love for cows and dairy farming.
He was active in 4-H and FFA in school and has supported the clubs throughout his life.
Kenny was a Christian and showed his love for God in his good-heartedness for others and animals. Kenny was a friend for life.
He loved watching college football, especially his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. He never gave up on his Tampa Bay Rays baseball.
After closing the dairy in the 1990s he worked for the City of Bradenton, retiring from the City of Palmetto in 2020.
Kenny and Barbara built their dream house on Lake Placid in Lake Placid, FL where he could enjoy fishing and hunting with his son on their property in Arcadia.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harold Griffin and Bettye Sue Reagan; his step-father, Cecil L Reagan; and step-brother, Dean Reagan.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Barbara; son, Robert J (RJ) and significant other, Alyssa Erickson of Parrish; step-son, Joshua D Miles; sister, Kathy (Jerry) Wolfe of Bradenton; nieces Susan (Wes) Grainger of Parrish, and Rebecca (Jeff) Vogel of Myakka City; and many great nieces & nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Kenny will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1pm at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, FL followed by a Celebration of Life at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honor Kenny with contributions to Somers Good Shepherd Hospice House, 1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870, or a charity of your choice.
