Wife of Richard Morgan and loving mother of Bruce (Nancy) Morgan of Tulsa OK; Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Morgan of Bradenton; and Kim (Jim) Stonecypher of Bradenton. She was born and raised in Panama City, Panama, and attended college at Marymount College in Los Angeles, CA. While on a trip to Europe in 1963, she met and soon married Richard in Frankfurt, Germany. They lived their first three years together in Germany and Verona, Italy, where her husband was employed by the U.S. Department of Army. In 1965 they moved to new careers and lifestyle in the Canal Zone and Panama City.
Julieta was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother of four (Ross & Collin Morgan of OK and KS); Jacob Stonecypher and Joshua Morgan of Bradenton); and recently great grandmother of Ellie Juliet, of Wichita, KS. She worked as the family office supply store manager for years in Panama. When she moved to Sarasota in 1990 after her husband’s retirement from the Panama Canal Commission, she volunteered for years at the then Hispanic American Alliance, assisting immigrants. She travelled extensively worldwide and especially enjoyed cruising, taking over 60 ocean and river cruises with Richard in 20 years. She enjoyed a full and family centered life.
There will be a small memorial service for Julieta at Stone River at a future date. Her ashes will rest with her husband’s later at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
