Jjohn Lazar, 74, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2015. He was born November 19, 1941 in Punxsutawney, PA to John and Irene Lazar. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in Akron, OH then moved to Florida in 1988, where he retired from Tropicana in 2000. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. John is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Helen; his mother Irene, age 96; son, Chris; step-children Bill, Diane, and Jim; step-grandchildren, Ryan; siblings Joyce, Ron, and Marlene; ex-wife Marcia and numerous other family, friends and neighbors who will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his father, John, and his step-daughter, Janet. Mass will be held at the Chapel at Ss. Peter and Paul Apostles Catholic Church 2850 75th Street West, Bradenton at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2016. A Celebration of Life gathering at Village on the Greens clubhouse will follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Ellenton.
