Cheryl was born in 1949 to James and Jenny Dillon on November 10th. She went to Southeast High School and graduated in 1967. She went on to earn an associate degree in art/ History from Jacksonville, Florida. She worked as an office manager for Fox Dental Office for many years. This aligned with her greatest job of being a devoted military wife during her husband’s service in both the Navy and the Army. She enjoyed creating personalized cards on her computer for family and, of course, going to the beach, her favorite place. She received many awards, but her prized possession was her Home Economics Gold Cup trophy.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Wendell Fox (Bradenton, Florida), her daughter, Rachael Florence (Ocala, Florida), her sister Judy Sinkler (Ocala, Florida) and her brother Gary Dillon (Newnan, Georgia). Her beloved grandchildren are Joseph Howe (Ocala, Florida), Aaron Howe (Ocala, Florida), Marie Negron (Ocala, Florida), and Layla Selph (Jacksonville, North Carolina). Her great-grandchildren are James Negron (Ocala, Florida) and Lillianna Selph (Jacksonville, North Carolina). She also had many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Jenny Dillon of Oneco, Florida.
Funeral service will be held at Robert Toale & Sons at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave E Bradenton, Florida, 34203 on Friday, May 19, 2023. The viewing and visitation will be from 6:00- 7:00 p.m. followed by the service from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. with Mr. James Honaker of Bradenton, Florida officiating. Internment will occur at a later date at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida. Robert Toale & Sons will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Cheryl was a living example of Christ’s love and left loving impressions on anyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed and celebrated for all that she has done for others and God in her time on Earth.
