Brian Earl Macquire unexpectedly died on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 52. He was born in Paris, Tennessee on December 4, 1970, to Bonnie and Gary Macquire. Brian grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1989. After high school graduation he moved to Boone, North Carolina and obtained dual degrees in Sociology & Psychology at Appalachia State. He later moved to Bradenton, Florida and managed a night club for a few years. Over the last 25 years, he owned and operated the Kwik Pick Lock & Key and was greatly skilled in his trade as a locksmith. He married the love of his life, Tonya Macquire, and they would have celebrated their 23rd year of marriage this May.
Brian was preceded in death by his son, Elijah Warren Macquire.
Brian is survived by his wife, Tonya Macquire and their children Ashley McGee, Madiline “Corey” and Drake Macquire, and their grandson, Mark Carmichael all of Parrish, Florida. Additionally, he is survived by his parents, Bonnie and Gary Macquire, his sister, Jeannie Macquire, nieces BreAnna and Jada Robinson, and nephews, Cameron and Justyn Robinson all of Oak Ridge, TN.
Special childhood friends who have remained close during adulthood, include Tony Taylor, Rob and Charlie Solomon, Tom Appleton, and Jason Callahan. Other special friends include Leon Quellette, Robert “Big Rob” Miller, and J. Nutter, and many other fellow locksmiths (too many to name).
Brian was known for his kind-hearted nature and found positives in every situation. He had a witty sense of humor and the biggest smile you ever saw. If you ever met him, he would make you feel like you were his best friend. He enjoyed fishing, Green Bay Packers football, experimenting with cooking, but most of all enjoyed being with his family of which he loved more than anything. Brian was the best person, husband, friend, son, father, brother, uncle one could ever imagine, and will be dearly missed.
On behalf of the family, we invite you to his Celebration of Life ceremony at 12pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Avenue, E. Bradenton, Florida 34203. Father Kenneth Bailey will be officiating the service.
