Brian was born in Manhattan, NY to parents John James Herron and Doris Capelli on March 17th, 1933.
He went to high school at Archbishop Curley High School in Miami, FL and graduated in 1962. He went to earn a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida State University in 1966. He worked 40 years in law enforcement, and had several additional careers. He was a real estate broker, a real estate developer, a teacher, an auctioneer, and a business owner.
Brian is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dianna Herron, of Parrish, FL, his son, Brian Herron, and daughter-in-law, Brandy Herron, both of Mount Dora, FL, his step-son, Lee Proffitt, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Proffitt, both of Parrish, FL, his stepdaughter, Paula Jermyn, and son-in-law, Thomas Jermyn, both of New Ark, DE, stepdaughter, Terry Valenti, and son-in-law, Joseph Valenti, both of Wellington, FL, his grandchildren, Gina Camacho, Diana, Zeitz, Jonna Jermyn, Laura Cassidy, Joanna Valenti, Amber Haymore, Christopher Proffitt, Ivy Proffitt, Kaley Proffitt, and Braydon Herron, his great-grandchildren, Tulsi, Hazel, Jamie, Asa, Grace, Tripp, Fiona, Eva, his brother, Larry Herron of Wellington, FL, and three nieces, Katye, Kelly, and Jennifer. He is preceded in death by his father, John James Herron, his mother, Doris Capelli, and his stepfather, Joseph Capelli.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or All Children’s Hospital of Tampa, FL.
