Terry Lee Hewitt, 72, husband of Pamela J. (Buxton) Hewitt of Bechtelsville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in his home. He was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on October 11, 1951, son of Amos Hewitt and Idamae (Lytle) Hewitt.
After graduating from high school in 1969 Terry worked as an electrician for 35 years. In his free time, he loved woodworking projects and cycling all over Berks County. He also enjoyed tending to his garden, baking bread, and learning to cane chair seats. While not much of a talker, he had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a witty joke, comment, or positive quote clipped from the newspaper. He loved sharing his interests with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Pam Hewitt of Bechtelsville, PA; daughters Abby Brunner wife of Brad Brunner of Wernersville, PA, and Sarah Mason wife of Jarret Mason of Perkiomenville, PA; Grandchildren Nora and Grant Mason; sisters, Margie Campbell of Lexington, MI, and Gwen Gadaire of Moorseboro, NC. He is predeceased by his brother Tom Wendt, and sisters Donna Elliott and Diane Currie.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery. (611 Swamp Creek Rd. Bechtelsville, PA. 19505)
