Born in Shenandoah, PA. She was the last surviving child of Rose (Krok) and Paul Denchy.
Rosemary graduated from Sacred Heart school of Nursing in Allentown, PA. She worked for a home care agency before moving to Boyertown and working at Bally Medical Group for more than 20 years until her retirement.
She met and married her love Richard M. Gerhart, Sr. in 1962. They spent many years traveling and enjoying their family and friends and traveled the world together. She always loved spending time on the beach.
Anyone who knew Rosemary knew her greatest joy was her grandchildren, spending time with them, babysitting them as they were growing up and doing all kinds of arts and crafts with them. She was very artistic enjoying painting, knitting, pottery, sewing, along with playing and teaching piano. She could do anything and was an active member of the Boyertown YMCA for many years and loved going to yoga classes with her friends.
Rosemary was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church and had a strong catholic faith.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly R. Bartman companion of Carl J. Smith of Boyertown, Richard M., Jr. husband of Melissa D. Gerhart of Barto and Bethann R. wife of Brian T. Schutt of Boyertown. Rosemary is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Bartman, Jenna Bartman, Emily (Gerhart) wife of Austin Hoffman. Kyle, husband of Kasey Schutt and Richard M. Gerhart, III.
Memorial Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home on Thursday July 13, 2023 at 11:30 AM.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.
Following the memorial service at the funeral home the family will have a Celebration of Life at the Keystone Fire Company of Boyertown. 240 North Walnut St. Boyertown, PA. 19512.
