Cynthia Ann Adams

She was supported by the loving presence of family and close friends during her final days. Born in Williamsville, NY on November 18, 1940 to Floyd T. and Clara P. Adams, she graduated from the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and earned a BS in nursing from the University of Buffalo in 1967. Her long career included nursing and administrative roles at Buffalo General Hospital and Kaleida Health. A Calvary Church altar guild member and a life-long animal lover and dog and cat parent, Cynthia enjoyed gardening, canning, candy-making, and traveling with family and friends, with whom she made regular seasonal visits to Florida and Lake George. Cynthia is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Virginia Adams, sister Susan Alessi, brother Thomas Adams, brother-in-law Charles Alessi, brother Richard Adams, and nephew Christopher Adams. Cynthia is survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Adams, nieces Julia Adams, Elizabeth Sedgman, Jennifer Adams, Janet Adams, Claire Adams, Mari Alessi-Kowalski, Anne Incao and Jane Alessi, nephews Geoffrey Adams, Douglas Adams and Jonathan Adams, 11 grandnieces, five grandnephews, two great-grandnieces, and four great-grandnephews.

Services for Cynthia will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10 AM, at the Calvary Episcopal Church 20 Milton St. Williamsville NY. A private burial will follow. Donations may be made in Cynthia's memory to Calvary Episcopal Church, SPCA of Erie County or Ten Lives Club and are greatly appreciared.
