Richard Sargent Flood

Richard "Dick" Sargent Flood of Bowie, Maryland died on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Loving husband of 53 years to the late Norma Harris Flood; son of the late Leon Gardiner Flood and Anna Sargent Flood; Devoted father of Richard Sargent “Mike” Flood, Jr.; brother of Gardiner Flood and his wife Anna and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Richard retired from the U. S. Coast Guard with over 30 years of service and he served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam and he was a 45 year member of the Eastern Star, a 50 year member of the Masons and Shriners. Family and friends will gather at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Richard will be laid to rest with his loving wife Norma 10 am, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD with military honors. A procession from the Evans Funeral Home will depart at 9:15 am, Tuesday, May 12th.
