Donald Carter Bedwell passed away peacefully at his home in Bowie, MD on January 10, 2024. Donald was predeceased by his parents Marion Celeste and Hollis Raymond Bedwell, and his twin brother David Henson Bedwell. He is survived by his sister Emily Koebig and her husband Mak; his stepson Brandon Landymore and family; and a number of friends and Army buddies who will miss his greatly. Don had a smile and a joke for everyone.
Don and his brother David enlisted together into the US Army in 1969. Don proudly served in the Army’s 10th and 11th Special Forces Group. While in the 10th group he was the senior demolition engineer on their elite HALO parachute unit. Don rose in rank over time and was honorably discharged as a Master Sargent.
As twins, Don and Dave were a great team and will be buried together at sea.
