I just found out yesterday that Chris passed away. It saddens my heart deeply. My thoughts & prayers are with the Gilliam family ??

I met Chris when our children were in the same class at Grace Christian School. Despite being a very busy businessman, he went on every single field trip! This usually entailed taking the entire day off.  I was so amazed and impressed by his dedication to his children and family.

Was there ever a nicer person? Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. Prayers are being sent for the entire family.

We haven't seen Chris for years,  but remember him fondly as a dedicated dad at Grace Christian School where our children went. His smiling, friendly face was ever-present at the school. 

Our deepest condolences to the entire Gilliam family. May God hold you all closely and comfort you.

I first met "Mr. Chris" in 1992 when he was my karate instructor.  So full of energy and enthusiasm, he quickly became apart of our family.  He was a great friend to my parents and a wonderful mentor to me and my brother.  He taught me to play pool and how to drive with a cup of coffee on the dashboard, he wrote to me after I got married and moved to Japan and shared pictures of his growing family that he was so proud of.  Although we lost touch when I moved out of state the second time, I was thankful to reconnect with him the last couple of years and thrilled to learn of his personal relationship with the Lord and how he shared God's love with others. What a beautiful example of a life well-lived! Although I am deeply saddened by his untimely passing, I feel confident that there is party in heaven right now to receive him home.  "Well done, good and faithful servant!" My deepest sympathies to Lyonette and the children as well as the rest of Chris' family and friends.  Covering all in prayers of peace and comfort.

I didn't know much about you, but do know that you are a man of God, and that you helped my family so much throughout some of the hardest times. Despite your very busy life almost every Sunday you looked for me at church and gave me hug just to share God's Love. I didn't get a chance to say thank you for being so good to my family but someday I will see you in Heaven.

I was always in awe of Mr. Gilliam.  A devoted family man, he worked in the Lord's name every hour of his life.  He reached out his hand, along with his wife, Lyonette, to give those less fortunate a real cfhance, with a job, housing and sustenance, both physical and spiritual.  Always so kind and thoughtful, always with a beautiful smile, I was always glad to see him.  We here on earth have lost an ally and a friend.  I can't find the words to say how I respected him and drew inspiration from him.  My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Lyonette and the children, foremost, but to all his friends and family as well. I knew "Mr. Gilliam" as the guy who kept everyone in line at Grace Christian School - - he was our traffic control guy!  He served faithfully as a volunteer in this role simply because he wanted to help and we all appreciated it.  He was a great dad and helped out at field trips and even a few parties!  He will be greatly missed!

Chris, I miss you, brother.  I'm comforted knowing that you heard the words, "Well done good and faithful servant."  I love you and I'm praying for your family daily.  I'm looking forward to seeing you again one day, brother.

We miss you Chris. Missing your humor, your kindness to our family, your love for your children, even helping Kelly out while in the Praise team at church, and the list goes on.  Our hearts are with you Lyonette, Ryan, Logan, and Chrislynn! Ryan you are one of the greatest 'adopted' additions to our family. You know our hearts especially hurt for you, but that you will always have our love and support. Chris was one of the best guys I ever had the pleasure of knowing, he was always there for me and my family, and always had time to lend an ear, you will be very sorely missed my friend, but I know you are with all your loved ones and enjoying there company once again.

There are  many things i  can say about chris he was a great friend and a great boss he always put others ahead of himself he was a role model in my life. Chris made a big impact to me i was part of his family and that is how i was treated by him. He was a great example of how a man of god should live. I am greatful for the time i was able to know chris and one day i know i will be able to see him again in heaven yes this is a time to mourn but also a time to be joyful for chris will no longer have to suffer on this earth. I only hope i can be a man of  god like chris gilliam was

Your light will always shine bright in our hearts.

Through the name of the Lord, Chris was always very compassionate and caring for others. He always saw good in all people; he was one to never judge nor criticize. Most importantly he was a great friend, a great father, and will forever have a special place in our hearts. We love and miss you.

On Saturday, June 7th I lost one of my best friends. Chris, you made such a difference in so many lives.  It will be hard to continue on knowing that I will never see you again.  May the good lord bless and keep you and watch over your family.
