Thomas Caia

Tom graduated from Weston High School in 1969 and Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1972. He worked as an Engineering Officer onboard US Flag Vessels for many years. Due to illness, he was forced to retire. He enjoyed being at sea and was disappointed to end his career.

Tom battled illness for many years. For the last few months of his life, he was living with incredible friends, Nick and Nikki Munroe of Plymouth, MA. They were lifelong friends that never hesitated to help with the house, plowing, appointments and more importantly loving Tom and being there for anything that he needed.

Tom is predeceased by his wife Maryanne (Kenney) & his son Michael in 2008 followed by his younger son Justin in 2022. He is survived by his brother, Robert Caia and his wife Susan of New London, NH along with cousins and nieces.

Tom was a well-liked and quiet man. He was one of the nicest and most kind hearted people that you could meet. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 10am.
