Santo Peter Russo

Santo Peter Russo, 85 of Buzzards Bay, passed away at Falmouth Hospital on March 17th, 2020 following a brief illness. Santo was born in Brooklyn, NY to Carmello and Rose (Frisina) Russo. He served in the Air Force from 1953 - 1957. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Long Island, Brentwood, NY with his wife and children in 1973. He worked for the City of New York with the NYC Emergency Medical Service before retiring in 1995.

He was married to his loving wife Madeline (DiBeniditto) for 59 years before her passing in 2017. Santo & Madeline relocated to Naples Florida and enjoyed many happy memories with family and friends before relocating to Cape Cod in 2015 to be closer to their children. Santo loved spending time with his family. You would often find him playing cards with his children and his grandchildren. He hated to lose. He was very proud of them all and adored each one of them. He will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and always wanting to be the life of the party with friends and at family gatherings.

Santo is survived by his two younger brothers Joseph Russo of Murfreesboro, TN and Peter Russo of Brentwood, NY; his eldest son Steven Russo of Bullhead City, AZ predeceased him in 2012, son Michael Russo and his spouse Karen of Sagamore Beach, MA, daughter Rosemarie Russo of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren Steven, Rebecca, Rachell, and Michael. Great grandchild Kameron. Services will be private. Burial will be at a future date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
