Monica Robbins Layton was born on 12/6/1933 to Cecile and Harry Robbins. Monica married Roger Layton in 1953 (he predeceased her in 2003) She had two children Deborah (David) Hitchcock of CT and Robert (Christine) Layton of PA.
She had four grandchildren Bryan Hitchcock, Kimberly Simone, Alex Layton and Matthew Layton. She also had five great grandchildren, Ryleigh Hitchcock, Declan Hitchcock, Eliot Simone, Kellen Simone and Roman Layton. Monica is also survived by her Sister Peggy Parady of IL. and many nieces and nephews.
Monica lived a very full life and touched a lot of peoples lives. She was always on the go. She played golf, Love to go for a “few good swims” at the beach. Worked the poles for years in the Town of Bourne, Volunteered at the Council on Aging and at St Johns Church in Pocasset. Her wonderful, helpful, caring neighbors Dennis and Stephanie White always reported that she was either coming or going constantly. Monica worked her whole life from Lindsay's in Wareham to The Buzzards Bay National Bank to Comm Electric where she retired after 22 years. Her live came full circle as she lived at 209 Main St in the 50’s and passed at 218 Main St. Her first apartment overlooked her first home away from home. She always told her family I have lived on the Cape my whole life and I am going to die on the Cape. She went peacefully as she wished on October 26.

Box 1558 Pocasset MA 02559 Or to the caring people at Beacon Hospice 32 Resnik Rd, Plymouth MA 02360 There will be no calling hours although the family will be at the church on her 88th birthday December 6 at 9:30. Her mass will be at 10:00 AM at St John's the Evangelist Church. Private burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
