Michael "Freddy" R. Devoe

January 15, 1960 - October 7, 2022

Of Bourne Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the age of 62. Michael was born on January 15, 1960 he is the son of the late James M. Devoe and his wife Barbara (Massie) Devoe. He was raised and lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Bourne.

Michael “Freddy” was a graduate of Waltham High School class of 1978, and honorably served in the

United States Navy. Later, he spent many years as a laborer in the Laborers Union local 138.

Michael lived life to the fullest; his greatest enjoyment in life came when he was surrounded by friends and family. Mike loved to golf, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his loving wife Jeannette Devoe. He was fondly referred to by his nieces and nephews as BUE “Best Uncle Ever.”

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jeannette (Bergeron), his sons Michael and Eric of Barnstable, his step-daughters Jennilee Prada of Bridgewater, Nicole Sampson of Plymouth and Alexandra Sampson of Buzzards Bay. His sister- in- law Lisa Bergeron Oxsen of Plymouth and brother- in-law Raymond Bergeron of Florida. His siblings and in-laws, Marcia Delaney and her predeceased husband Michael of Sandwich, Christine and Charles Tufts of Milford, Steven and his wife Lynn of Tewksbury, his sister-in-law Joyce of Hudson, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Paul, his brother James and brother- in-law Michael Bergeron.

For those who wish to pay their respects there will be visitation from 11-2 on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Nickerson Funeral home located at 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA with a service at the funeral home at 2:00pm. Michael will be buried at Bourne National Cemetery on November 7, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
